Greenwood Machine is an ISO 9001 certified high precision machining and contract manufacturing assembly company which truly lives up to our Modus Operandi; “Quality is not just a word. It’s the way we do business”. Our legacy of living up to that motto stems from the cleanliness of our environmentally controlled shop floor, the maintenance and calibration of our equipment, and the process control & quality procedures faithfully adhered to for each customer’s job. Our dedication to principles has resulted in many valued customers and long term relationships.

Management Team

Fred McWilliams – President and Owner; Fred has spent over 35 years in the machining industry and began his career in 1972 as a machinist for Radio Component Corporation and set-up person for Startronics, Inc. Fred's experience and acquired knowledge led him to assume the role of Manufacturing Manager for Delta Electronics in 1984, and then Director of Operations for Specialty Connector Inc in 1989. In 1992 Fred founded Greenwood Machine, Inc. In this relatively small amount of time, GMI has become a leader in providing high precision RF connector components along with medical device components and assemblies.

Greg Ottinger – VP Sales and Engineering; Greg has over 25 years of experience in manufacturing, dividing that time between operations & engineering and achieving senior executive levels. His background is in high volume automotive, mid to small lot sized automation – controls, and medical device manufacturing industries. Greg has international manufacturing experience in Asia, South America, Mexico and Canada. He holds a double major MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business in Corporate Finance & Operations Management and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Keith Koester – Operations Manager; Keith has over18 years of experience in manufacturing. His background includes CNC setup and programming in the wood panel and electronics industries along with supervision in performance plastics manufacturing. His career then moved into applications engineering specializing in Swiss –turning at Tornos Technologies. Keith became a technical sales representative for Marubeni-Citizen Swiss-style machine tools, the largest in the world. Keith provided sales, application, and service support for Indiana and Kentucky. Keith’s capabilities were enjoyed by Greenwood Machine for several years as he served our Citizen Swiss-style machine needs. Keith’s decision to get back into manufacturing and apply his knowledge was a perfect fit for Greenwood Machine as he became our Operations Manager in late 2010.
